What these hands have seen.
We invite you to join in a special fundraising opportunity. We will be telling the stories of our wisest generation through sharing what their hands have witnessed.
From baking, cultivating gardens, healing or comforting the sick to building or rebuilding houses, engines and even bridges, tickling the ivories or making a trumpet trill- our elder loved ones have rich beautiful stories to share. We place a high value on their lives and what their wisdom can add to ours.
Join us as we create the first volume of this legacy project, the Gloucester/Mathews Edition.
Application Details
Applicants will pay a $150 Registration Fee* (donated directly to Heartfelt Community 501(c)3*)
The Registration Fee Includes:
- A customised portrait session for you and your loved one. This can take place either at your home, or at our Yorktown studio.
- A double page spread in the coffee table book, “What These Hands Have Seen.”
- The opportunity to select the photo for the Coffee Table Book.
- Opportunity to purchase additional images.
- Your recorded interview given at the book reveal.
- Invitation to the book reveal reception in November 2023.
- 100% of the registration fee is donated to Heartfelt Community.
*Printed Photographic Artwork is not included with the registration fee and may be purchased separately at your personal design consultation. The published book is not included in the registration fee and will be available for purchase during your design consultation for $125.
How it works
There are two ways for you to get involved:
Immediate Family Members:
Step 1 – Apply
(Submit your loved one’s application below) To have your family members included in the coffee table book, simply requires the completion of the application form below. Application window is open until July 31, 2023, or until we have all 50 stories.
Step 2 – Your Discovery Call
One of our team members will contact you to discuss your application, answer any questions and talk with you about your loved one and the story they want told.
Step 3 – Booking your custom Portrait Session.
Successful applications will pay the $150 registration fee and select a date for their personalised portrait session. (All $150 will be donated to Heartfelt Community).
Step 4 – Your Portrait Session
We will customize a portrait session designed specifically for your loved one, showcasing something significant and unique that represents their story
Step 5 – Design Consultation & Ordering Appointment.
Immediately after the portrait session, you will have your own Design Consultation. Your portraits will be revealed to you in a cinematic presentation. This is where we will select your photo for the coffee table book.

Would you like the opportunity to do something special for someone aging alone?
We have opportunities for you to sponsor a senior.
Many of our elderly are aging alone, without loved ones around them. Their stories are just as unique and important as any one else. It is very important to us and to Heartfelt Community they are given the opportunity for their stories be included.
This is where you come in!
Through this special sponsorship opportunity, you can gift these seniors the chance to share their stories. All you have to do is take care of the $275 for them. This will allow them to be a part of the coffee table book as well as to receive their own copy once it is printed.
(Of this $275, $150 nomination fee will be donated to Heartfelt Community and the rest will cover the purchase of the coffee table book for the senior to receive their own copy)
As a special thank you, any one who sponsors an elder aging alone, will receive a family portrait session from Debbie Leanne Portraits, with their $275 sponsorship being used as their session fee.*
