Volume I of Tails of Love Raised over $7500.
Last year we received over 200 applicants for Volume I, but only 50 families were chosen to participate in this special fundraiser
This year, we are once again looking for pets of all shapes and sizes to appear in our limited edition, hard-cover coffee table book titled, “Tails of Love – Letters of Gratitude”, our second coffee table book fundraiser with the Heritage Humane Society in Williamsburg. 50 families will be chosen and featured.
Successful applicants will enjoy a luxury portrait session at our Debbie Leanne Portrait Studio in Yorktown, designed just for you! We will choose the best photos from your session to be featured in the book. You will also have the option to purchase printed photographic artwork for their personalised session.
How it works
Step 1 - Apply
(Submit your Pet's application below) To have your four-legged family members included in the coffee table book, simply requires the completion of the application form below. Application window is open until March 31st, 2024, or until we have all 50 families.
Step 2 - Your Discovery Call
One of our team members will contact you to discuss your application, answer any questions and talk with you about your beloved fur baby.
Step 3 - Booking your custom Portrait Session.
Successful applications will pay the $150 registration fee and select a date for their personalised portrait session. (All $150 will be donated to the Heritage Humane Society).
Step 4 - Your Portrait Session
You will enjoy a customised portrait session designed specifically for you and your fur baby, showcasing your special relationship and what makes them so unique.
Step 5 - Design Consultation & Ordering Appointment.
Immediately after your session, you will have your own Design Consultation. This is the exciting part…this is where all the hard work and preparation has been leading! Your portraits will be revealed to you in a cinematic presentation. Together, we will design timeless Art pieces to be displayed throughout your home, to be treasured for many years to come. Artwork that will display the very best of your relationship with your beloved fur baby.
Application Details
If selected, applicants will pay a $150 Sitting Fee*
The Sitting Fee Includes:
- A customised portrait session for you and your pet at our Yorktown studio.
- A double page spread in the coffee table book, Tails of Love – letters of Gratitude.
- The opportunity to help select the photo for the Coffee Table Book
- 100% of the sitting fee is donated to Heritage Humane Society in Williamsburg.
*Printed Photographic Artwork is not included with the registration fee and may be purchased separately at your personal design consultation. The published book is not included in the sitting fee and will be available for purchase during your design consultation for $125.
*This covers two pets per household. Additional Any additional pets are welcome, and will be $50 each.
Launch Party
In Spring of 2024, we will come together for a launch party where we will celebrate, reveal the cover of the book, and the books you purchase can be picked up.

Heritage Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) and serve as compassionate stewards of homeless pets that are in transition from stray/surrender to forever homes. They serve to educate the public about humane animal care and treatment, advocate animal welfare, and provide affordable adoption service.
