** K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Sally)***
The older I get, the more I realize people REALLY LOVE to complicate things. (myself included) So today let me help you keep it nice and simple…at least in this one area! Let’s talk comfort and style! When it comes to dressing for your photo session, I always recommend to come as you are! How else can we capture the tru essence of you and your family? Now, don’t get me wrong, we LOVE when our clients come DRESSED TO THE NINES. But 90% of our clients aren’t looking for dressed up or fancy. They just want to look great. In my opinion, there’s nothing better than rocking clothes you feel totally comfortable in. You know, those outfits that make you feel like your best self? Whether it’s your favorite worn-in jeans or that cozy sweater you practically live in, wearing clothes that reflect your personal style and make you feel at ease can truly elevate your confidence in front of the camera. Plus, there’s no need to hit the stores for a whole new wardrobe. Embracing what’s already in your closet not only saves time and money but also adds an authentic touch to your session, capturing the real you in all your stylish (or not so stylish) glory. So, let’s ditch the pressure to buy new clothes and instead focus on flaunting what makes you feel amazing! So while you may be tempted to go out and buy some new clothes for your session, don’t feel the pressure. It’s not required. I will always tell Mom (or the Matriarch) to make sure SHE feels amazing in whatever she will be wearing, because we all know, Momma is the one who makes all the final decisions! And as the saying goes, “If Momma ain’t happy, nobody’s happy!” These are HER family portraits and her legacy…she’s going to want to look AMAZING! I tell all of my clients, I don’t care if you come in your pyjamas or a ball gown, at the end of the day, these are YOUR portraits, not mine. We will never tell a client they MUST wear something specific in order to have their portraits taken with us. I will 100% help and give you advice on what you can wear, but above anything else, I want you to be comfortable and feel yourself.
