Oahu Maternity Photographer | Ewa Beach Maternity Session
When I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet couple for their Ewa Beach maternity session, they knew exactly what they wanted. They had planned this moment for a very long time. With only weeks to go before meeting their new little bundle of joy, the only thing left to do was to officially document the maternity with some beautiful portraits. The dress had arrived, the bump was growing and mom and dad were both more than ready. With the amount of contentment and joy radiating from this beautiful mom, there’s not a doubt in the world this little girl will be well and truly loved.
Maternity sessions are some of my favorite kinds of photography sessions. Life is about to get so beautifully crazy and this is the calm before the storm. With the fear of the unknown also comes the excitement. And it was no different for this couple as they reached the end of their very long journey. After years of loss, this mom and dad are about to become parents. And as we know, nothing can prepare us for what’s to come. But one thing is for sure, it will be amazing!
When is the best time for maternity photos?
If you are pregnant and wanting beautiful portraits of your pregnancy, the best time to schedule your pregnancy session is between 28-34 weeks, when your tummy is nice and round. This however varies with each individual woman. Some women carry small, or gain very little weight during their pregnancy and may choose to wait until they are closer to 36-38 weeks. Other women who are growing a bit quicker or carrying multiple babies, may choose to come in around 28-32 weeks. The most important thing is to come in when you feel great and your belly is nice and round. Make sure to schedule your session a few weeks in advance so you don’t miss out. And don’t wait until it’s too late…there is no way to go back and get these once your bundle of joy has joined your family!
