My beautiful and amazing neighbor has been raising her 12 year old son and 10 month old daughter alone for the past 10 months, as her husband serves over in Afganistan. He will be home shortly, so I wanted to give Eve a photo shoot of a different kind. One just for her.

Eve is such a beautiful person, both inside and out. However, what happens to many of us women after we have children, is that our lives begin to revolve around them. This isn’t a bad thing. Not at all. Our priorities change. And they should. What we want isn’t as important any more. However, after having children of my own, and losing my own identity over the years, I wanted to remind Eve that she is still the beautiful and sexy woman that she has always been.

We had so much fun trying to get these shots. We had approximately 2 meters of space to work with. We broke the shoot up over two days. Day one was at her house…day two at mine. The first day, my daughter came to help hold the reflector or blow dryer…at times, both! It was a great learning experience for all of us. The following day, Eve came over to my house and after moving all of the furniture out of my living room, we set up a mock studio. Alyssa came over to play as well and between the three of us, we got some amazingly beautiful photos of Eve.

The most amazing part of all this…Eve cried. And Eve doesn’t cry! But, her husband’s response overwhelmed her. I want to make all woman feel this beautiful.

The whole experience…from having your hair and make up done, to being pampered, and photographed. This is for you. You’re worth it! Sometimes, we just need to be reminded….

This is the passion I have for my photography. I want all women to see the beauty that we can all see in each other, but we tend to forget over the years. I want each woman I photograph to feel beautiful. The beauty that God created in each and every one of us. I can’t wait to share more of these shoots with you all. I hope it makes your heart skip a beat, as they do mine.

One lesson I learned quickly, in Hawaii….use a fan, and not a blow dryer! It is already way too hot!

Eve, Before and After

Pull back shot. As you can see, we didn’t use a lot of space.
